Trade Show Success

The Alberta Gift Show was wonderful this year.  Having completely redone the floor plan and consolidating the show in the new Northlands building in Edmonton has given the show new life.  Everyone I spoke with was pleased with the results.  Exhibitors are happy with the company groupings and Retailers are saying the show is much easier to navigate.

Thank you to Brenda and her team for all their work.

The Fresh-N products were part of the Made in Canada section of the show.  What we liked about this placement is that everything in the area was unique, as we are.

Alberta Gift Show – Booth 5227, Hall A – Made in Canada

The Alberta Gift Show is starting tomorrow Sunday, February 21st and runs until Wednesday, February 24th at Edmonton Northlands.

Made In Canada

I had an opportunity to walk through a bit of it today during set up.  Wow!  What a difference the new building makes.  The flow is better, the organization of booths is nicer, the venue is easier to move through and there are about 150 more booths than the August show.

We are located in Hall A, booth 5227, Made In Canada, just under the big 5200 sign hanging from the ceiling.  The booth is easy to find.

Check out this video about the gift show.  We’re featured twice!  Click here.

We’ve got some specials for you, so drop by.

West Coast Christmas Show

Every season we choose a few consumer shows to participate in. This fall we have chosen the West Coast Christmas Show. We participated in the show last year, had a great time and met some fantastic people, so decided to join the fun for a second year.

This year our booth is #257 and we are directly across from the Home for the Holidays Presentation Stage, which unfortunately is at the other end of the building from the Holiday Spirits Tastings.

In our booth you’ll find great stocking stuffers. We have something for everyone, from Dad’s golf bag with Gentlemen Gems to dry out his golf shoes; to Sportzgemz5 for your nephew stinky hockey bag – so he can have dry gloves each game; to Diva Diamondz for your favorite girlfriend who LOVES shoes and wants to keep all her shoes store bought fresh. We also have Kitchen Fresh-N for Grandma who always has a full fridge and doesn’t want the cranberries tasting like the onions. Pet Fresh-N are a must have for your aunt that adores her cats! and lots more.

On the Home For The Holiday Presentation Stage, the main stage across from our booth, Anna Olsen, the host of Sugar on Food Network Canada will be demonstrating her unique creations to inspire cooks-at-home to create more imaginative holiday meals. Karl Lohnes, Canadian design guru will teach and entertain with the latest in design and décor ideas for your home this holiday season.

As you enter the West Coast Christmas Show, you will be welcomed by a wonderful array of dozens of decorated Christmas trees, all part of the Festival Of Trees where local businesses and charities will decorate trees and compete for a grand prize.  Walk through the corridor of beautifully decorated trees and stop to watch and listen to school choirs and bands performing Christmas carols. It will be sure to rekindle your Christmas Spirit for the coming Holidays.

With 27 days remaining before Christmas, the West Coast Christmas Show’s timing is perfect for visitors to stock up on holiday entertaining needs and discover new ideas on home decorating and entertaining for a fun-filled Holiday Season.

2009 World Police and Fire Games

Tomorrow is day 3 of our 10 days of vending at the 2009 World Police and Fire Games at the Burnaby Lake Athlete’s Village on Kensington and Joe Sakic Way in Burnaby.

It’s been very hot the last 2 days.  Crowds are still quite light as the games are just getting started.  Today was busier than Saturday.  Soccer started in full force with 35 games played today.  Hockey also started today and both 8 Rinks and the Bill Copeland Arenas were busy.  With over 10,000 athletes here in the Lower Mainland, it’s a very exciting place to be.

Today we chatted with some very nice firefighters from Trinidad and Tobago, some folks from Australia, a lovely lady from Newport Beach, CA, ladies from Holland and  we caught a glimpse of the Swedish hockey team.  Tomorrow will be a very fun day as we’ve created some promotional fliers and the girls are going be out handing them out and seeing how many photos they can collect.

We also hand fun by creating a contest for passersby.  We played Toss the Rocks!  Toss a Diva Diamondz and if it lands completely on the square we’ve created on the asphalt, you win your choice of Diva Diamondz, Gentlemen Gems or a Bill Reid print courtesy of Metropolis, Metrotown, our neighbours.  Between our game and handing out Freezies to people passing, we were able to draw people to the booth and create some conversation.

We are looking to have a great day tomorrow and will update our twitter page and this blog as the week goes on.

Fraser Valley Pulse’s article

Kristi Ferguson of the Fraser Valley Pulse was kind enough to contact me last week.  She has seen the Diva Diamondz in various stores around the Fraser Valley and loves them.  She didn’t realize that our office are approximately 3 blocks apart.  There are definitely lots of very talented people that live and work in  the Walnut Grove are of Langley, BC.

Kristi has a wonderful way with words and chats a bit about our history, where we’ve come from and where we’re headed.  I especially love her description of the products as “odor eater/moisture wickers”.

Check out our article and all the other great things Kristi promotes at Fraser Valley Pulse.

Thank you Kristi!
